ATINJ - Portuguese Association of Theatre for Children and Young People is the organization which envisages the gathering, at national level, of all of those who have made of the performing arts directed at a young audience their main professional activity. Furthermore, it intends to bring the professionals together with those who share a particular interest for this field of the performing arts. Accordingly, the Association will serve as a platform from which specific activities will be launched towards ensuring that the aforementioned field of the performing arts is recognized by the political decision-makers as an intricate part of the Portuguese theatre matrix – and is accorded the legitimate role and undeniable artistic valour which the mainstream of Portuguese theatre tends to deny.
